From hot springs deep in the forest to canyons, plan your trip with a picnic or even a camping trip.
Los Azules River

A perfect place to spend the day, hike through the canyon, and finish the tour by swimming in its natural pools of crystal-clear water and enjoying its waterfalls.
The “river” is formed by spring water that flows from the Tequila volcano, so the water usually feels warm. Note: it does require some hiking to get there.

Río Caliente is located within La Primavera Forest and is a great option because it’s very close to Guadalajara.
People can have a picnic and enjoy its natural pools with thermal water streams that flow from the forest itself, an area of volcanic origin.
Cuquío River

In the municipality of Cuquío lies a hot spring river famous for its deep pools, which in the La Pila area reach up to four meters in depth.
Its waters come from hot springs caused by geothermal activity, and visitors often take the opportunity to camp and spend the night surrounded by mountains and vegetation.
Chiquilistán River

Also known as the Ferrería River, this river, formed by several nearby streams, is known for its crystal-clear waters.
Around its course there are various waterfalls; perhaps the most popular is the one at Comala, which has three drops: the main one, about 15 to 17 meters high, and two smaller waterfalls that can serve as natural slides.
