Yesterday , the awards ceremony for The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops was held , a global ranking that recognizes the best specialty coffee shops on the planet. And yes: a coffee shop in Guadalajara made it onto the list.
First held in 2025 in Madrid, this list selects the best options from among more than 4,000 coffee shops around the world. The evaluation is determined 70% by a panel of experts and 30% by public vote, considering aspects such as:
- The quality of the coffee
- The baristas’ experience
- Innovation
- The atmosphere of the space
- The food and gastronomic offerings
☕ The Guadalajara café that ranks among the 100 best in the world

The Guadalajara café that made it into the ranking was El Terrible Juan Café, ranked 96th in the world.
This project began as a small coffee bar in the Americana neighborhood and today has several branches in the city, establishing itself as one of the local benchmarks for specialty coffee.
Its offerings include:

Other national representatives in the ranking were Histórico Café, located in Chiapas, and Exploradores, located in Mexico City.
