For many users, one of the biggest problems is not knowing where the bus is. But now the Jalisco government has just announced a partnership with Google that will allow users to track public transit in real time in Guadalajara.
With the goal of modernizing the public transportation system and keeping people informed, an agreement was signed so that apps like Google Maps and Waze can display the location of vehicles.

For now, during the first phase, around 100 vehicles will be tracked during the quarter, with coverage gradually expanding to include all 220 current routes.
The first results are expected in ten weeks , and routes will begin to appear in the apps. All of this is part of the goal to achieve coverage of 4,500 vehicles by the end of the year.
No further details have been released yet, but we recommend keeping an eye on the social media accounts of the Jalisco Department of Transportation and Governor Pablo Lemus.
