A weekend at Madre Seda
Our recommendation is to spend the first day enjoying the property and its surroundings. Nearby, you’ll find trails, a river, and plenty of places perfect for exploring.

Discover Nogueras
The next day , it’s worth exploring Nogueras, a small community surrounded by nature that retains the charm of mountain villages.
Stroll down its picturesque street and visit the Nogueras Cultural Center, where you can explore a museum, wander through its gardens, and learn more about the history of the old hacienda.
Also stop by its ceramics school, which has trained generations of artisans and artists, and try some of its culinary offerings and drinks made with local ingredients.
Stroll through Comala
Just a few minutes away from Nogueras is Comala, a Pueblo Mágico where you can explore its historic center, its whitewashed streets, and its tree-lined plazas.
Of course, you can also enjoy Colima’s cuisine, visit cafes, buy regional products, and discover the settings that inspired part of Juan Rulfo’s work.
On the way back to the house, you can stop to try local coffee or have a meal with a view of the volcano at El Jacal de San Antonio.
