Can you imagine listening to “La Llorona,” “Recuérdame” from *Coco*, and the most iconic themes from horror movies surrounded by thousands of candles? This Friday, October 30, Guadalajara will host a special Day of the Dead Candlelight concert—an experience featuring live music and a completely mysterious atmosphere.
The event will take place at PALCCO in Zapopan, one of the ten largest theater venues in the world. There, a string quartet will perform traditional pieces from this Mexican celebration—recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—as well as must-hear Halloween classics.

What will the Day of the Dead candlelight concert in Guadalajara be like?

For 60 minutes, the Satori Quartet will present a repertoire that blends music from cult films, popular pieces, and traditional Mexican songs, all under the soft glow of thousands of LED candles.
Among the pieces to be performed are themes from *Psycho*, *The Exorcist*, *The Addams Family*, *Ghostbusters*, and *The Nightmare Before Christmas*, as well as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and the music from *Stranger Things*.
The program also includes gems from our popular folklore such as La Llorona, La Bruja, and La Martiniana, as well as “Recuérdame” and “El Latido de mi Corazón” from the movie *Coco*. A unique and intimate way to celebrate the Day of the Dead through music.
