That’s right, right in the heart of the magical town of Mascota, you’ll find the ruins of the Unfinished Temple of the Precious Blood of Christ.
A 20th-century structure that promised to become one of the region’s most important Neo-Gothic churches, but was never completed.
Its construction was interrupted by the conflicts of the Mexican Revolution and, later, by the Cristero War.

Today, the church offers a unique setting: ruins without domes or a roof that create a very special atmosphere.
The site is surrounded by a charming garden, filled with bougainvillea, perfect for strolling or staying a while to read and contemplate.
It is an open-air space that can be visited from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at 30 Libertad Street , in the Historic Center of Mascota. The cost is $10 pesos per person.
It is wheelchair accessible and child-friendly. Please note that they only accept cash.
