One of Guadalajara’s most iconic venues is about to undergo a complete renovation. The historic Estadio 3 de Marzo will enter a new phase to become the GNP Seguros Coliseum.
A venue designed for large-scale events, offering greater comfort, technology, and a much more complete experience for the audience.
The new venue will have a capacity of up to 30,000 people, depending on the event configuration, and will feature a more modern design.
The bleachers will be numbered, while the general admission area will remain on the floor, close to the stage for concerts and large-scale events.
The GNP Seguros Coliseum in Guadalajara will feature a diamond section, LED screens, and a new food court
The project is currently 60% complete, and its inauguration is scheduled for August of this year.
Among the new features, the creation of a Diamond Section stands out, in addition to renovated boxes, premium areas, and new VIP spaces.
One of the most significant changes will be the addition of a new entrance lobby, featuring brand activations, a food park, merchandising areas, ticket booths, bars, and a beer garden —ensuring the experience begins before the event and continues after it ends.
In terms of infrastructure, access tunnels are being expanded, facilities for people with reduced mobility are being improved, and parking lots are being reorganized to streamline audience arrival.
More comfort, better views, and international shows
Visually, it will also take a major leap forward: a wraparound LED screen will be installed around the stadium, the roof will be renovated, and the building’s façade will be modernized to give it a more contemporary look.
Inside, there will also be new restroom facilities and an expanded food and beverage offering strategically distributed to reduce lines and improve traffic flow.
In addition, the venue will feature new backstage areas with dressing rooms and production spaces, enabling it to host world-class shows.
To kick off this new phase , performances by Alejandro Sanz and Yuridia have already been announced , along with Auténticos Decadentes, Caligaris, and Panteón Rococó performing together for the first time.
