The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) confirmed the route of the Mexico City–Guadalajara Train, which will pass through 10 municipalities in Jalisco.
Although the agency has already announced the general route the train will follow within Jalisco, details such as the location of the stations, the final route plan, and the construction schedule are still pending.
Which municipalities will the Mexico City–Guadalajara Train pass through?
According to official information from the SICT, the Irapuato–Guadalajara section of the corridor will pass through the following municipalities in Jalisco:
- San Diego de Alejandría
- Arandas
- San Ignacio Cerro Gordo
- Tepatitlán de Morelos
- Acatic
- Zapotlanejo
- Tonalá
- San Pedro Tlaquepaque
- Guadalajara
- Zapopan
Station locations and dates have yet to be determined
Although the general route has already been presented by the SICT, the stations where the train will stop, as well as the start dates for construction and operations, have not yet been confirmed.
