As part of the 25 for 25 program, the FCE (Fondo de Cultura Económica) bookstore will distribute thousands of free books in Guadalajara.
The event will take place next Saturday, March 7, at 6:00 p.m. on the median in front of the bookstore (Av. Chapultepec 198, Colonia Americana).
There is only one condition: you must be between 15 and 30 years old to receive your free copy.
Make a note of the date and add it to your list of things to do in March.
Why are they giving away thousands of books at the FCE bookstore?
This is an initiative promoted by several Latin American governments to encourage reading among teenagers and young people.
The collection includes titles by authors such as:
Osvaldo Bayer, Mario Benedetti, Amparo Dávila, Nona Fernández, Gabriel García Márquez, Eduardo Galeano, Juan Gelman, and Juan Carlos Onetti.
These are books of different genres that have marked generations in historical, political, social, and artistic topics.
