There’s no better way to get to know a city than through its cantinas. These spots for drinking and sampling local cuisine reflect traditions like nowhere else. Check out the free tours of Guadalajara’s cantinas.
On the last Thursday of every month, the city’s tourism trust organizes guided tours of the most famous cantinas. Each tour visits different spots, including places like Cantina La Fuente, Época de Oro, Bar La Maestranza, and others.
The date for the next tour is set! It will be next Thursday, April 30, 2026! Registration begins at 5:30 PM .
To participate, all you have to do is show up at the tourist information booth in Plaza Guadalajara. Please note that space is limited, so be sure to arrive early.

The mariachis will add a special touch, setting the mood for the tour with their music. So get your voice ready to sing… nothing beats a few tequilas!
Just a heads-up: drinks at the cantinas included in the tour are on your own dime, so no surprises there.
The activity will last about three hours, starting at 6:00 PM and ending at 9:00 PM.
This event is for adults 18 and older only . To gain entry, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID.
