The city is celebrating! As part of the celebration of the 484th anniversary of the founding of Guadalajara, five days of free activities for the whole family have been announced.
From Saturday, February 14 to February 21, 2026, various locations will be filled with cultural activities such as dances, concerts, conferences, and more.

If you’re looking for a cultural plan without having to spend a lot, then you should check out all these activities that will be happening in the city:
📅 Saturday, February 14:
- 8:45 a.m. – Av. Hidalgo (in front of the Presidency): Grand public celebration with the Estampa de Jalisco del Ballet Folclórico Guadalajara, the Municipal A Cappella Choir, and the Estudiantina Municipal.
- 12:30 p.m. – Museum of Paleontology: Lecture “The discovery of zombie fungi in Jalisco: when science surpasses fiction.”
- 7:00 p.m. – López Portillo House Museum: “Recital of Love” with the Excelsior Choir and Ensemble in the Music Room.
📅 Sunday, February 15:
- 12:30 p.m. – Larva Forum: Concert by the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra.
📅 Thursday, February 19:
- 6:00 p.m. – Paseo Alcalde (in front of the Rotonda de los Jaliscienses Ilustres): “Song of celebration to my city” Concert with Paco Padilla and Mercedes Medina.
- 7:00 p.m. – City Museum: Lecture “Things as they are: Ways of being Tapatíos” with historians Samuel Gómez Luna and Daniel López.
📅 Friday, February 20:
- 6:00 p.m. – Azotea Mercado Corona: Gastronomic and literary talk with writer Bernardo Esquinca and chef Fabián Delgado.
- 8:00 p.m. – MUPAG: Standup Comedy by Tapatieses: “Living in Guadalajara.”
📅 Saturday, February 21:
- 11:00 a.m. – City Museum: Photography workshop in traditional neighborhoods (for camera or cell phone).
- 8:00 p.m. – Foro Larva: Concert and closing party with Los Hijos de Mike Laure, a living musical legacy for dancing the night away.
