If you’re in the mood to get out of the city for the weekend, have a barbecue, and go swimming without spending a lot, then you have to check out the Agua Dulce Ecotourism Ranch.
A perfect spot to spend the day and also to camp in a completely safe environment.
It is a private, controlled area just one hour from Guadalajara, with plenty of amenities, including restrooms and showers.
Agua Dulce Ecotourism Ranch: a natural hideaway near Guadalajara

Its main attraction is its clear-water river, with temperatures ranging from 15 °C to 23 °C and shallow areas (from 80 cm to 1.20 m), ideal for visiting with children.
Access is quite easy: the road is flat, so you can get there without any trouble, even in a low-clearance car.
In addition to the river, the site features:

Firefly season and outdoor activities

On weekends and holidays, there is an additional $20 fee per vehicle for maintenance.
