From Friday, April 17 to April 25, 2026, the 41st edition of this beloved festival will take place, with Chile as this year’s guest country.

Opening Gala

The film that will open the festival is *Moscas* by director Fernando Eimbcke, known for his film*Temporada de Patos*. The screening will take place on Friday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Telmex Auditorium.
Tickets start at $220 pesos and usually sell out quickly, so we recommend getting them as soon as possible.
Activities at the 2026 Guadalajara International Film Festival

During the festival, you’ll be able to see a wide selection of films (a mix of new productions and tributes to film history) at various theaters throughout the city.
In addition, the event will feature various guests, activities, talks, and workshops for industry professionals. A meeting place for professionals, producers, distributors, and creatives.

Venues for the 2026 Guadalajara International Film Festival

There will also be activities at the Telmex Auditorium, Conjunto Santander, Carlos Fuentes Bookstore, Cabañas Museum, Musa, Belén Cemetery, Metropolitan Park, and more.
