If you’re looking for a free activity to enjoy with the family, during the first few weekends of October there will be mariachi nights on Paseo Alcalde, right across from the Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres.
This pedestrian promenade will be filled with Mexican music for singing, dancing, and having a good time outdoors.
The performances will take place on Fridays, October 2, 9, and 16, starting at 7:00 p.m., featuring live mariachi music and free admission.
Plus, given the time and location, it’s a great way to plan a stroll through Downtown, take a walk, and end the afternoon listening to mariachi music.
Free Mariachi in Guadalajara

No need to buy a ticket or make a reservation: just show up at the meeting spot and enjoy the performance.
To talk about mariachi is to talk about Jalisco and one of its most renowned musical traditions.
This tradition has even been recognized as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2011.
And what better setting to enjoy it than downtown Guadalajara, where you can enjoy a night of outdoor music.
