If you’re a fan of corn and local products, you’re going to love this event. The traditional Farmers’ Market will host a Corn Festival this coming Sunday, September 27, featuring traditional cuisine, workshops, talks, music, and activities for the whole family.
The festival aims to celebrate Mexico’s biocultural heritage and recognize the importance of corn in our diet and culture. The date coincides with the season when the first ears of corn begin to be harvested after the rains and with the celebrations surrounding National Corn Day.
Throughout the day , you’ll find traditional cuisine, local producers, and guest exhibitors, as well as activities for kids, workshops, and talks related to corn and food production.
Corn Fair at the Guadalajara Farmers’ Market

The Farmers’ Market has been in operation for over 10 years and brings together more than 60 projects dedicated to small- and medium-scale food production. The market promotes organic farming and fair trade.
As on every Sunday, you’ll also be able to discover and purchase products directly from local producers, but this edition will feature corn as its main attraction.
So now you have plans for the weekend: stop by and take the opportunity to celebrate one of the most important ingredients in Mexican cuisine.
