Wicked Part One is coming to Guadalajara with a special screening where you’ll be able to watch the movie on a giant screen, accompanied by a live orchestra that will perform the soundtrack in perfect sync with the action on screen.
The event will take place on April 17, 2027, in Guadalajara. The experience will also come to Mexico City on March 6 and to Monterrey on April 24.
If you’re a fan of Oz, get ready to sing “Defying Gravity” like never before at this official event. General admission tickets go on sale September 11 at 10:00 a.m.
Wicked in Guadalajara with a live orchestra
The event aims to turn the film screening into a live show: as Elphaba, Glinda, and the inhabitants of Oz appear on screen, the orchestra will perform the film’s music in real time.
The story follows Elphaba and Glinda, two young women who meet while studying at Shiz University and who, despite their vast differences, end up forming a friendship that will change their destinies. All of this takes place before the events we know from *The Wizard of Oz*.
The film, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, features songs like “Popular” and “Defying Gravity,” which can now be heard accompanied by a live orchestra.
